YEREVAN. - "Fresco" International Film Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral Films is being held in Yerevan and Armenia’s provinces these days.  The chief partner of the festival is VivaCell-MTS.

The festival includes live action, documentaries, feature and short films of different formats, videos condemning wars, violence, discrimination on the national, religious and any other ground, as well as ecological disasters caused as a result of human factors. The films call for peace, tolerance, humanism and other universal human values.

Fresco offers a non-formal approach to all stages of the festival, from film watching till the sites of holding the events. The wonderful films, photo exhibitions and performances brought to Armenia have come out of the cinemas and literally entered the street. Round-the-clock open-air screenings have become an inseparable part of Armenians’ every day life.

Non-formal approach is also taken with regard to the choice of the sites of screenings. Instead of being held in Yerevan’s centre, the screenings take place in the crowded sites of the city (parks, church yards). Some of the festival events are scheduled to be held outside Yerevan, in Harichavank, one of the picturesque corners of Armenia. The participants will have an opportunity to participate in groundbreaking movie camps in Armenia.

The festival also attaches particular importance to the work with special social groups, especially people with disabilities.

Due to the cooperation with Fresco Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual-Moral Films, people with disabilities will not only participate in all the festival events, but also actively engage in the organizational work of Fresco.
