Armenian Garo Paylan from the Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) solved the first important problem for Armenians residing in Turkey.

As reported by the Istanbul-based Armenian newspaper Agos, during the opening of the parliamentary session, Turkish MP Garo Paylan met with Turkey’s National Education Minister Nabi Avci and raised the question on the admission of the children belonging to national minorities to corresponding schools without ethnic codification. Paylan told the Minister no bill is necessary and it’s enough to merely adopt a decision.

Following this meeting, the Minister of Turkey’s National Education adopted a decision, according to which children of national minorities will be admitted to schools belonging to national minorities by merely turning to the director.

It turned out 2 years ago that since the establishment of the Turkish Republic, the Armenians have been bearing secret codes. This was found out when a child, who had returned to the roots of his Armenian family in Istanbul, was refused to be admitted to an Armenia school, since Armenians bear Code 2, while the child had no code.
