The Festival del Sole in Napa Valley of California, which takes place from July 10 to 26, features famous musicians, including director Constantine Orbelian, study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The latter is the nephew of the famous Armenian composer Konstantin Orbelyan.

Orbelian will conduct the Russian National Orchestra in concerts on July 15 and 26, San Jose Mercury News reports.

World-renowned baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky had scheduled to sing with Orbelian in the concerts, but he was forced to cancel his performance since he was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. The performance by the famous Russian Bass Ildar Abdrazakov is also scheduled in the program.  

Constantine Orbelian was born in San Francisco in 1956 to the family of immigrants. He has Armenian, Russian and Ukrainian roots.
