Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated his French counterpart Francois Hollande on the national holiday in his country, without forgetting to mention about Karabakh.
Congratulating Hollande, Aliyev referred to the role of France as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair, APA reports. “We value the involvement of France in establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus region. We put high hopes on the efforts of France, as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair, and personally Your efforts, Mr. President, to stop the occupation of our territories, taken as a result of Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan, as well as return home over million of our fellow countrymen, who have appeared in the position of refugees and forced migrants,” Aliyev wrote.
By convention he kept silent about the Armenian refugees and occupied Armenian territories.
