A delegation, led by Mayor Taron Margaryan of Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, and which is in the French city of Marseilles on an official visit, paid a visit to the Armenian Apostolic Cathedral in Marseilles.

The pastor of the church, Father Aram Ghazarian, briefed the mayor on the history of this cathedral, and the activities being carried out in the community to preserve the Armenian identity.

Margaryan, for his part, attached a particular importance to the role and significance of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the protection of national culture and traditions as well as in the preservation of the Armenian identity in the diaspora communities.
