YEREVAN. – An Armenia woman that was injured by her husband hours after giving birth has been discharged from intensive care department.

She is in a relatively good condition and is transported to neurosurgery department, head of the reproductive health center Razmik Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The health condition of a newborn girl has also improved, but she is still in an intensive care unit.

A tragic event occurred on June 30 at the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. A man had come to the hospital, shot his wife hours after she gave birth, and then committed suicide.
