YEREVAN. – The case involving the Avetisyan family, which was killed back in January in Gyumri, Armenia, will be transferred to the Armenian party in several days, reported Hraparak daily.
“According to our information, after the Russian party’s announcement about transferring the case [over to the Armenian party], high-level talks are underway regarding the deadlines and avenues for the transfer. And lo, finally, the parties have come to an agreement.
“We learned that the prosecutor generals of [the Republic of] Armenia [RA] and [the] Russia[n Federation (RF)] have agreed that, to organize the transference of [Russian soldier Valery] Permyakov’s [who is charged with the murder of the Avetisyan family] case over to the Armenian party as speedily as possible, it will be transferred directly from the RF investigative authority to the RA investigative authority. Otherwise, additional time would pass (…), and the examination would linger,” wrote Hraparak.
