YEREVAN. - Production of water purification plants has been launched in Armenia. Producer Khimmaster LLC installed the first plant in Armenia’s Agarak village bordering with Iran in August 2014, Manvel Gabrielyan, Director of the producer’s parent company Medisar LLC told Armenian News – NEWS.am. The second plant will be installed in Armenia’s Teghout copper and molybdenum mine.  

The company specializes in plants serving up to 700 people. “The plant can be installed, for instance, for one company or village and it will solve its problems related to waste water,” Gabrielyan said.

The plants can purify the water at three levels: river-water, drip irrigation, and, finally, freshwater.  

“Of course, the wastewater will not be drunk for psychological reasons, but it will quite do as technical and irrigative water,” Gabrielyan said.

Besides water, fertilizers from dead microorganisms are received. These are considered effective in the West, being sold in shops with corresponding label. “If we install around two dozens of such plants, there’ll be enough material for such a production,” Gabrielyan said.

The company buys part of the equipment from the Czech Topol Water company, while the rest is produced locally.  

The company installed another plant in the city of Meghri.
