Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh), Ara Harutyunyan, together with Swiss Armenian businessman and philanthropist Vartan Sirmakes, on Tuesday paid a visit to the Martakert Region, and got familiarized with several major economic projects that are underway in the area.
First, the NKR PM visited and expressed satisfaction with the work carried out at the Trghi 3 small hydropower plant, which is built on the Trghi river and has started operations in recent days.
Next, Harutyunyan toured the black caviar production facility in Mataghis village, and which is set up with the investments by Sirmakes. Those in charge of the company informed that the first batches of fish and black caviar will be available for sale in about three and five years, respectively.
The Premier of Artsakh also visited the fields of Talish border village, where the Support Fund of Village and Agriculture of the NKR is growing several crops. Ara Harutyunyan, together with those in charge of the country’s agriculture sector, also conferred on the course of this project.
