YEREVAN. – Orange Armenia has sold its business to Ucom operator without giving priority to the personality of its owners, General Director of Orange Armenia Francis Gelibter  told reporters in Yerevan.

“I am not worried about it. I am much more concerned over well-being of our clients and our company,” he said.

The company has recently become one of the largest operators of internet connection.

“The company offered a deal wishing to expand their business, and we agreed. Given the quality of services provided by our partners, I think this stems from the interest of our subscribers,” he added.

Francis Gelibter  assured the deal has to do nothing with politics.

“There is a financial reason. In other countries we have enough subscribers and income to continue development, as we are used to. In CIS we are working in Moldova, but we have 60 percent of market as compared to 17-18% in Armenia,” Gelibter added.

The amount of the deal is not announced, while Ucom will have the right to preserve Orange Armenia trend for upcoming 12 months.
