YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, received Swiss Armenian businessman and philanthropist Vartan Sirmakes.
The PM highly appreciated Sirmakes’ contribution to Armenia’s economic development. He also underscored the implementation—with funding by this Swiss Armenian benefactor—of the Old Yerevan project, for which around $150 million will be invested.
Sirmakes, for his part, stressed that the priorities and main concerns outlined by the Armenian government are convincing for him, and therefore he is confident that Armenia has a great future. The Swiss Armenian businessman noted that he stands ready to contribute to the development of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh).
PM Hovik Abrahamyan, in turn, highlighted Vartan Sirmakes’ investment projects in Artsakh. He thanked the businessman for his consistent work, and expressed a conviction that all future projects will yield great results.
The interlocutors also conferred on the planned investment projects in Armenia and in Nagorno-Karabakh.
