The reports spread by the Azerbaijani media saying that Turkey and Azerbaijan will lift the visa regime are untrue.

Talking to the journalists in Baku, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said that the matter had been discussed during the meeting.

However, the question remains open due to some obstacles in Azerbaijan, he said. “I hope the problem will be solved in the near future,” Gul added, Haber 27 reported.

The Turkish press mentions that even Turkey and Russia have lifted visa requirements, whereas Azerbaijan still refuses to do it.
