French singer Georges Moustaki became one of the most favorite art song performers of the Bulgarian Armenian singer Haygashot Agasian, Agsaian told in an interview with the local newspaper Nabore.bg. 

Moustaki created many beautiful melodies and rhymes, he said. The singer also remembered his meetings with Bulat Okudzhava in 1989, when the Bulgarian poet Nedyalko Yordanov performed with Okudzhava at the Bulgarian cultural centre in Moscow.

“The memories were unforgettable. I came up to Bulat and he asked me in fluent Armenian: “How’re you doing, bro?” As it turned out, his father was Georgian and his mother was Armenian. We were on a visit to his country house, and we spoke Armenian,” Agasian said.
