YEREVAN. – Head of Armenia’s Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan is not commenting on the rumors about kidnapping of director and owner of 51 percent of shares of Air Armenia Arsen Avetisyan.
“Why do you think that I am giving interview on the phone?” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.
Arsen Avetisyan was brought to hospital on Sunday with a nose fraction and a shoulder blade injury, representative of the hospital said.
According to reports, Arsen Avetisyan appealed to law enforcement agencies. It was revealed that Arsen Avetisyan and Ruben Hayrapetyan arranged to meet at the Football Academy. During the meeting, the bodyguards of Hayrapetyan beat Avetisyan.
Hayrapetyan, Avetisyan and two bodyguards have been questioned. The parties did not report the cause of the incident, claiming that they "did not understand each other." According to the media rumors, the kidnapping of Arsen Avetisyan was linked to the debts of Air Armenia company to Taron Avia owned by Garnik Papikyan.
