The August 20 meeting is an important step toward ensuring security in the CSTO zone, RA President Serzh Sargsyan state at an informal summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on August 20.

“The Yerevan meeting placed emphasis on assistance to Kyrgyzstan, as well as on the assistance previously rendered to the country by the CSTO. We have analyzed the process, exchanged views on further steps to assist Kyrgyzstan,” said President Sargsyan. The meeting discussed the formation of anti-crisis mechanisms. “We presented our view of the situation,” the Armenian leader said.

President Serzh Sargsyan stressed that meetings, as well as implementation of agreements, will raise the CSTO’s quality.
