YEREVAN. - The number of constitutional laws on the new draft Armenian Constitution is not final, Hovhannes Sahakyan, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP and Chairman of the Committee on State and Legal Affairs told Armenian News – NEWS.am in the parliament today. “Their number can also be discussed later; we are ready to hear justified proposals,” Sahakyan stated.
7 constitutional legislative acts are now included in the draft constitutional reforms: Parliament Regulation, Electoral and Judicial Code, laws on Constitutional Court, Referendum, Political Parties, and Human Rights Defender. It will be possible to make changes in these laws only by 3/5 majority.
