YEREVAN. – Restrictions on the supply of equipment from the U.S. to Armenia are disadvantageous primarily to the United States, Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises Karen Vardanyan said.

Vardanyan said he had raised the issue during his meeting withe U.S. Ambassador.

“Imagine we get equipment from U.S. and install Armenia-produced software and then re-export to the third country. This means to stop exporting of the U.S. equipment to Armenia is to stop its re-exporting to the third countries,” Vardanyan explained.
