Armenia is one of the 18 countries where there are no legal restrictions on women’s rights, World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law 2016 report says. 

The other 17 countries in the list are Canada, the Dominican Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Malta, Mexico, Namibia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Puerto Rico, Serbia, the Slovak Republic, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan and China.  

The report published once in two years measures legal restrictions on women’s employment and entrepreneurship by identifying gender-based legal differences.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It considers 7 main indicators: accessing institutions, using property, getting a job, providing incentives to work, building credit, going to court and protecting women from violence.
