YEREVAN. – Major Sevak Gasparyan, who was injured in the tragic accident on September 5, has lost his life. 

Representatives at the intensive care unit of “Erebouni” Medical Center in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, have informed the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

They stated that although the doctors fought to save his life for several days, the military officer passed away Friday at around 9am.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia had informed that, as a result of an accident that had occurred on September 5 at around 10:30pm nearby Tsovak in the Gegharkunik Province, military Captain Taron Sedrakyan had died on the spot while Major Grigor Sahakyan and noncommissioned officer Gevorg Vardanyan had lost their lives shortly afterwards, at the garrison military hospital in Vardenis town.

Major Sevak Gasparyan and Junior Sergeant Harutyun Mirzoyan, on the other hand, were transferred to the Ministry of Defense Central Clinical Military Hospital in Yerevan.

A criminal case was launched into the incident.
