YEREVAN. - Prices of fruit have fallen by 5,1% in August 2015 as compared to July, Armenia’s National Statistical Service report says.  

Specifically, peach has become cheaper by 23,5%, plums by 24,2%, watermelon by 35,9% and melon by 38,2%.

On the other hand, prices for already non-seasonal fruit – apricot and cherry - have gone up by 109,5% and 11,4% respectively.

The situation is the same with seasonal vegetables: tomatoes and cucumbers have become cheaper by 16,9% an 17,3% respectively, carrot by 19,4%,  eggplant by 53% and green pepper by 25,2%. On the other hand, prices of cabbage and cauliflower have risen by 51,1% and 42,5%, green bean becoming expensive by 19%.
