YEREVAN. – The successful activities by the Information Technology (IT) companies make Armenia competitive in the world’s most developed markets.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stated the abovementioned during his talk Tuesday with a delegation led by Don Grantham, President for Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe.

The PM praised the collaboration with Microsoft, and noted that the Armenian government stands ready to further develop end deepen bilateral cooperation. He also highly assessed Microsoft’s assistance in Armenia, and underscored the need to implement new initiatives in the IT sector.

Grantham, for his part, said he is happy to see the progress in effective cooperation with the Armenian government, and thanked Abrahamyan for his support in the implementation of IT projects. At the same time, the Microsoft official highly commended the steps being taken toward IT development in Armenia.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the avenues for carrying out new joint projects, protecting intellectual property, and fighting against cybercrime.
