YEREVAN. – Member of the opposition Armenian National Congress faction Levon Zurabyan accused member of the constitutional commission of spreading false reports.

Vardan Poghosyan presented false information when saying that Serzh Sargsyan would not claim for the office of the chairman of National Assembly if the system of government is changed, Zurabyan said in the parliament on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Poghosyan claims the opposite.

“A well-known fact that the president confirmed it through various channels. Is it important whether he said it publicly or not? I insist on the fact that the President of Armenia said that he would not claim for the post of chairman of the National Assembly when a transition to a parliamentary form of government is made,” the expert said.
