YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia will convene four special sessions to conclude the ongoing parliamentary debates regarding the draft constitutional amendments.

NA President Galust Sahakyan announced the abovementioned at the beginning of Thursday’s regular session. He also noted that a signature campaign is in progress to hold a special session.

Sahakyan informed that the said special session will get underway on Friday at 11am, and urged the MPs to join the respective signature campaign.

The new draft Constitution of Armenia is debated in the NA. Pursuant to this draft, the country will make a transition from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary system of governance.
