YEREVAN. – By the decision of the National Assembly (NA) President Galust Sahakyan, pursuant to the Constitution of Armenia, and at the initiative of the NA deputies, a special parliament session will be convened on Friday.

The session’s agenda will be the continuation of the debates regarding whether to pass the NA draft decision on putting the proposed draft constitutional amendments to a referendum.

The MPs on Thursday had launched a signature campaign to convene a respective special session on Friday.

The new draft Constitution of Armenia is debated in the NA. Pursuant to this draft, the country will make a transition from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary system of governance.menian service.
