STEPANAKERT. - Joint meeting of the “Karabakh-France” and “France-Karabakh” friendship circles, as well as the representatives of twin-cities took place in the large conference hall of the Karabakh Parliament as part of the “French days in Artsakh” festival.

Ashot Ghoulian, Speaker of Karabakh parliament and head of the “Karabakh-France” friendship circle, highly appreciated the relations with the political and parliamentary circles of France, as reported by Karabakh parliament press-service.

French Parliament MP and head of the “France-Karabakh” friendship circle Francois Rochebloine said he was impressed by the events held in Karabakh. According to him, the development of francophonie in the country will open new perspectives for enhancing the ties between the two nations.

At the end of the joint meeting, the participants adopted a statement, according to which the meeting participants underscored the significance of the “French Days in Artsakh” festival as a successful initiative on expanding the dialogue and cooperation, highly appreciated the efforts of Karabkh authorities aimed at developing the francophonie in the republic and agreed to take necessary measures for the further development of cooperation formats, following the principles of equality, complementarily an tolerance.
