Ever since the new academic year, engineering laboratories are in operation in the schools of Goris, Tatev, Halidzor, and Shinuhayr communities in the Syunik Province of Armenia.

These labs were founded at the initiative of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE), and financial support by the Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation.

The official opening of these laboratories was held at the school of Tatev village.

These labs will enable the schoolchildren to acquire modern engineering skills.

Over eighty robotics teams are already operating in capital city Yerevan and the provinces.

Around fifty schoolchildren will study in these four new laboratories.

The teachers of these engineering labs have been selected from the local professionals with relevant vocational education and skills.
