YEREVAN. – Iran’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Seyed Kazzem Sajjadi, on Friday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
First, the President congratulated the ambassador on commencing his diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished him success. Sargsyan highly praised the Iranian embassy’s activities, and expressed the hope that Ambassador Sajjadi—just like his predecessors—will continue to attentively treat Armenian-Iranian relations, and make all efforts to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
At the ensuing talk, President Sargsyan and Ambassador Sajjadi reflected on the implementation of major Armenian-Iranian projects. The interlocutors also shared the view that the new integration processes create broader opportunities for the development of Armenia-Iran collaboration.
The diplomat, for his part, stressed the Iranian Armenian community’s considerable role in the strengthening of bilateral state relations. Seyed Kazzem Sajjadi also assured that he will continue the work of the previous Iranian ambassadors to Armenia with the same commitment and enthusiasm, and do his utmost to make Armenian-Iranian ties grow deeper.
