YEREVAN. – The inaugural meeting of the central headquarters of the “Yes” campaign for the upcoming referendum on constitutional amendments was convened Saturday at the central office of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
Chairman of the RPA Organizational Issues Committee, Ruben Tadevosyan, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He also noted that the six deputies to the chief of this central headquarters, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, and its campaign manager were appointed at this meeting.
“During the session, the chief of the headquarters gave instructions regarding the organizing of the activities according to schedule,” Tadevosyan added. “The current activities were discussed.”
The referendum on Armenia’s draft constitutional amendments is slated for December 6.
Pursuant to the new draft Constitution, the country will make a transition from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary system of governance.
