The RA Statistical Service reports that Armenia’s external debt had totaled U.S. $3bn by July 2010 – a 2% increase as compared with the 2009 end.

The RA Government’s share in Armenia’s national debt totaled U.S. $2.5bn AMD (82.8%), the share of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) being U.S. U.S. $520 (17.2%).

The WB International Development Association remains Armenia’s major creditor. Armenia’s debt to this agency is U.S. $1.1bn or 36.5% of the total amount.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is Armenia’s second major creditor – U.S. $640bn or 21.2% of the total amount.

The RA Government’s debt to Russia is U.S. $500m – 16.5% of the total amount.
