Film director Vahram Mkhitaryan (Poland, Armenia) won a special prize for the film “Milky Brother” at the International Youth Film Festival held in Kiev, Ukraine.
Prior to contests, a solemn closing ceremony of the 45th International Youth Film Festival took place in Kiev’s Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre, during which winning films were awarded, the organizers said.
The film “Princess” won its film maker Tali Shalom-Ezer (Israel) the grand-prix of the Festival and a $10,000 money certificate.
“Picadero” from Ben Sharrock (UK, Spain) became the winner of the international full length film contests, winning a prize and $1250. Another winner of the same contest was the film “Ixcanul” from Jairo Bustamante (Guatemala, France).
Vahram Mkhitaryan’s (Poland, Armenia) film “Milky Brother” was among the films which won the jury’s special prize, Analitikaua reports.
