YEREVAN. – As of Tuesday 9:30am, seven Armenian citizens were killed and 43 others were injured as a result of the passenger bus en route from Moscow to Yerevan crashing nearby Ilinka village in the Uzlovsky District in Tula Oblast (province), Russia, and 34 of the injured are hospitalized.

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia informed that, according to preliminary data, the bus had gone off road for yet unknown reasons and turned over at around 3:08am.

Head of the Emergency Situations Department at Tula Oblast informed the Armenian ministry that work is underway to find out the names of the crash victims.

Doctors say nine of the injured are in serious condition.

There were no children in the bus.

Emergency hotlines have been set up.

As reported earlier, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received information on Tuesday at 3:10am. Accordingly, a passenger bus traveling from Moscow to Yerevan had crashed in the Uzlovsky District in Tula Oblast (province), Russia.
