YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia has ascertained the names of the victims of the tragic crash—in Tula Oblast (province), Russia—of the passenger bus, which was en route from Moscow to Yerevan.

In the respective list, the Ministry also informed which hospitals the injured passengers were taken to.

The names of five passengers, however, are still being checked.

Ministry representative at the Embassy of Armenia in Moscow, Artak Ghazaryan, and representatives from the Police and the Investigative Committee of Armenia are at the crash site. 

A passenger bus, which was traveling from Moscow to Yerevan, had gone off road for yet unknown reasons and overturned on Tuesday at around 3:08am, nearby Ilinka village in the Uzlovsky District in Tula Oblast, Russia.

There were 59 passengers in the bus, but no children were among them.

All the injured were transferred to several Russian hospitals. 

At present, a technical malfunction in the vehicle is considered a probable cause of this tragedy.

There is also a possibility that the bus driver might have fallen asleep behind the steering wheel.
