YEREVAN. – The Minister of Health of Armenia, Armen Muradyan, who had gone to Tula Oblast (province) in Russia on late Tuesday evening, has started visiting the province’s three hospitals on early Wednesday morning. 

The minister’s assistant, Tatevik Grigoryan, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It is still unknown when the passenger bus crash victims will be transferred to Armenia.

As of Wednesday 10am, there are 26 injured in three hospitals in Tula Oblast.

And the passengers who received outpatient treatment are staying at a hotel in Tula city, and they will receive their belongings during the day.

A passenger bus, which was traveling from Moscow to Yerevan, had the accident on Tuesday at around 2:10am local time, in the Uzlovsky District in Tula Oblast, Russia.

There were 59 passengers on the bus, but no children were among them.

At present, there are reports on eight casualties and 47 injured, and the latter were taken to the three nearby hospitals.

A technical malfunction in the vehicle is considered a probable cause of this tragedy. But there is also a possibility that the bus driver might have fallen asleep behind the steering wheel.

The bus driver, Garnik Harutyunyan, 44, is detained.
