YEREVAN. – After the recent crash of the Russian airplane that was heading from Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) to Saint Petersburg (Russia), the residents of Armenia have begun discarding their plans to vacation in Egypt.
Several Armenian travel agencies have told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to the representatives of these agencies, many people in Armenia, who had purchased New Year travel packages to vacation in the Egyptian cities of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada, have started returning them during the last two days.
As a result, some inconveniences have risen—not to mention financial penalties—regarding airlines as well as hotel reservations in Egypt.
Representatives of the majority of these travel agencies also told us that tourists from Armenia are now changing their Egypt holiday packages with those primarily to the United Arab Emirates.
