YEREVAN. – Pursuant to Thursday’s decision by the Government of Armenia, the Blue Mosque and the adjoining land in capital city Yerevan are the property of Armenia, and the Ministry of Culture will administer over them.
In addition, the mosque and the adjoining land will be included in the Armenian state registry of immovable historical and cultural monuments that are not subject to alienation.
But subsequently, a contract will be signed with the Iranian embassy, and regarding the latter’s right to use this mosque for 99 years.
The building of this mosque will be used as a cultural center.
