Ten-year-old Arsen awaits the New Year impatiently, just like other kids.

The New Year is the only holiday which Arsen recognizes not just by listening, but also by “seeing.”

The little boy only sees the bright lights of the Christmas tree, candles, and fireworks.

Arsen pictures Santa’s clothes being made entirely of shines, and in red color. But this is Arsen’s red color, which each blind child mentally invents for himself.

Arsen, who perceives his surroundings by touch, recognizes all the toys that are on their Christmas tree at home.

It was also through touch that Arsen had learned, at the age of six, to differentiate the white and black keys on a piano. The rest was a matter of hearing, which life had given him in abundance and to compensate for his impaired eyesight. 

At the age of seven, the young musician brilliantly performed in a Moscow concert, where numerous celebrities were on hand.

Arsen not only sings and plays musical instruments, but he has already composed five songs.

His dream is to become a renowned musician.

Arsen believes that despite his limitations, he can find his place in the world, if he sets his mind to it.
