The Armenian citizens killed in a traffic accident in Russia’s Rostov Oblast were heading home for holidays. Relative of one of the killed passengers told Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.

The killed men were migrant workers in Russia. Stepan Kostanyan, 45, and Sargis Khachatryan, 25, were from Armenian city of Abovyan. Edgar Petrosyan, 30, was from Charentsavan. Markos Papyan wounded in the accident is also from Abovyan. At the moment of the accident Markos Papyan was at the wheel of VAZ-2114.  

The relatives of the killed and wounded have left for Rostov.

As reported earlier, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received information, on Saturday at 6:49am, from the National Crisis Management Center of Russia.

Accordingly, a traffic accident had occurred at 1:51am on a local motorway in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, as two vehicles had crashed for yet unknown reasons.

As a result of the accident, Armenian citizens Stepan Kostanyan, 45, and Edgar Petrosyan, 30, had died.

 

Armenian citizen Markos P. was injured and taken to hospital, where the physicians said the patient is in moderate condition.
