Turkey has begun to prepare materials to submit a complaint to the World Trade Organization (WTO), and against Russia’s economic sanctions on Turkey. 

The Economy Minister of Turkey, Mustafa Elitaş, told the aforesaid to the Daily Sabah of the country.

In Elitaş’s words, the complaint is currently studied in order to be forwarded to the WTO. 

The Turkish authorities are gathering evidence on Russia’s violation of WTO rules.

“We will defend in international courts the rights of all those who suffered under the sanctions [imposed on Turkey by Russia],” the Turkish minister promised, reported RBC news agency of Russia. “The [Turkish] entrepreneurs trusted the Russian government and invested money in that country. We try to be patient, but we wait for the [Russian] embargo on Turkey.”
