YEREVAN. – The command unit of the central system of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia convened a consultation on Friday. 

At the event, the discussants summed up the work carried out in the year past, and outlined the activities for 2016, informed the MOD press service. 

The Minister of Defense, Seyran Ohanyan, stressed that 2015 was a year of qualitative progress for the Armenian armed forces.  
Ohanyan went on to present the successes and achievements of last year. 
The defense minister added that 2016 has been declared the “Year of Command Readiness” for the Armenian army. 
The consultation concluded with the awarding of certificates of honor and MOD medals
