Tehran has no restrictions on raising the level of relations with Yerevan. First Vice President of Iran Eshaq Jahangiri told the aforementioned today at the meeting with the Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan, who is on a working visit to Iran, Armenia’s Transport Ministry press-service reports.

During the meeting, Mr Jahangiri approved all the agreements reached with the Iranian side and stressed that he will exert all his efforts for their implementation. “Tehran has no restrictions on raising the level of relations with Yerevan. Iran and Armenia have always been in good and friendly relations. Historically good neighbor relations have been established between the two countries since the ancient times,” he noted, stressing that the countries retained good relations even during the period of sanctions.

According to the Vice President, after the lifting of sanctions, cooperation with Armenia in the bank sphere will result in raising the level of bilateral relations.

For his part, Mr Beglaryan congratulated the Iranian side on lifting the sanctions, and noted that the expansion of cooperation with Iran has an important significance for Armenia.

Referring to the joint projects in the area of transportation, Gagik Beglaryan noted that Armenia is ready to use the potential of the Iranian companies for implementing the projects, since they have great experience in that sphere.
