YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Statistical Service on Monday issued the preliminary information regarding the year past. It was found out that the industry of the country has had positive results, despite the difficult conditions abroad.

Accordingly, the physical volume of Armenia’s industrial production increased by 5.2 percent throughout 2015.

In addition, and according to the data from January to November last year, the physical volume of  industrial production within the Eurasian Economic Union—which comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and which exists for already a year—increased solely in Armenia and in Kyrgyzstan, which joined this union recently.

To note, however, it was only the metal industry that secured the respective “record” in Armenia. 

According to the data from January to June 2015, this industry’s share in Armenia’s total volume of exports was more than 46 percent.
