The Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, on Thursday issued a message of congratulations, on the occasion of Army Day.

“The formation of the Armenian army is the most precious and cherished accomplishment of our newly independent statehood. 

“Today, the borders of our country are unharmed and protected through the feat, sometimes also the sacrificing of life, of our brave-hearted soldiers and commanders of the Armenian army.

“The undaunted spirit of the Armenian soldier disseminates encouragement to our entire [Armenian] people,” the Catholicos’ message specifically reads.
