Russia-Azerbaijan highway has been closed due to the terrorist act in Derbent district of Russia’s Dagestan today.
The area round the police checkpoint where the incident occurred has been cordoned off, APA reports. Traffic is not yet allowed on the aforementioned road.
Terrorist act took place today at a police checkpoint in the Republic of Dagestan, which is a federal subject of Russia. According to the preliminary information, the incident occurred during the examination of a suspicious car. Consequently, 2 people died and 20 sustained injuries.
Russian Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case into the incident. Investigation is underway.
