YEREVAN. - In the framework of the work on extending the Armenian nuclear plant operations, over 4500 units of equipment will be checked by September.

After the completion of work on complex examination of the Armenian Nuclear Plant system, equipment and facilities, technical audit will be conducted, Armenia’s Energy and Natural Resources Ministry reports.

To fund the work on extending the Nuclear Plant operations till 2027, a loan agreement was signed with the Russian Government on 3 February 2015, under which Russia will provide Armenia a concessional loan in the amount of $270 mln, as well as a $30 mln grant.
