YEREVAN. - The Government of Armenia on Thursday approved the bill on making an addition and an amendment to the law on the makeup of the government.
Accordingly, it is proposed to separate the domains of emergency situations and territorial administration.
Correspondingly, there will be two ministries: the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development.
The explanation attached to this decision notes that the objective of this proposed law is to ensure a more efficient system of governance in Armenia.
In addition, the government has proposed that the National Assembly (NA) President on Friday convene a special NA session, whose agenda will be the aforesaid bill.
