YEREVAN. – Armenia is regulating the procedure for submitting asylum petitions for children who are citizens of other countries, or are stateless.
The relevant amendments in the Armenian law on refugees and asylum were approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.
Accordingly, the guardian of the children who wish to be granted asylum in Armenia will have to submit a respective petition in the manner prescribed by the law.
Previously, adults could have submitted such petitions solely for themselves.
