YEREVAN. - Despite various speculations, the consistent work towards ensuring material and technical base and enhancement of procurement process, as well as its transparency and reduction of violations have significantly improved the level of the area.
Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said the aforementioned today at a working consultation held at the Defense Ministry Administrative Complex today. The consultation was dedicated to the material and technical insurance, as well as procurement planning and organization in the Armed Forces.
Armenia’s Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan also took part in the consultation.
According to Seyran Ohanyan, the issues on material and technical insurance always remain in the center of attention of the republic’s supreme leadership. Although the positive progress is obvious in this area, there are also certain gaps, he noted.
For his part, Gevorg Kostanyan noted that in order to ensure objectivity and justice in the area of material and technical insurance, efforts should be united to the extent possible, and any kind of abuse should be disallowed.
By the end of the consultation, Seyran Ohanyan and Gevorg Kostanyan gave specific instructions to those in charge.
