Grigor Ivanyan (55 kg) made a good showing at the European Junior Judo Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ivanyan defeated Tom Shmidt (Luxembourg) in the 1/8 round, Joaquin Gomis (Spain) in the quarterfinal and Maxime Dufon (France) in the semifinal.
The Armenian sportsman lost to Otar Kaidarashvili (Georgia) in the final and took the second place.
