YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today attended the Haykyan Awards ceremony at Alexander Spendaryan National Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre. The event was organized by the Youth Foundation of Armenia.

The award, which has been given for 15 years, aims to stimulate the activity of youth organizations and young citizens who achieved success including in the sphere of education. 

The nominations for the Haykyan Awards for the best youth organizations and projects of 2015 were as follows: Best Yerevan-Based Youth Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Best Regional Youth NGO,   Unique Youth Project,  Best Student Council President, Best Intercollegiate Project, Best Youth Program, journalistic project, Best International Institution, Best Youth Scientificv Achievement and Best Student Self-Government Body.

There were also special awards which were bestowed by President Sargsyan. The latter congratulated all the laureates, underscored the importance of the Youth Foundation of Armenia initiative and wished luck to all of them.
