YEREVAN. - Nine people have been detained today on Yerevan’s central Baghramyan Avenue after the protest over setting free political activist Vardges Gaspari, Armenian police press-service informed to Armenian News – NEWS.am

Six of the protestors who tried to approach the Presidential Palace and then staged a die-in in the street, have been taken to Central Police Department. Three others are in Arabkir Department. 

The detainees will be released within three hours after drawing out a report on the administrative violation.

A group of young men earlier staged a die-in on Yerevan’s central Baghramyan Avenue demanding to set free Vardges Gaspari, a detained political activist.

The activists tried to approach the Presidential Palace, but the police stopped them.

They removed the lying activists from the street holding by their feet and arms. Some of them have been detained.

The same activists staged a similar protest yesterday.
